Timeline & Goals

General Goals:

- Learn the basics of guitar (chords, strumming patterns, reading music)
- Learn songs and be able to play them without looking down at music or my fingers
- Be able to play a song or two well enough that I can sing along to it

Specific Monthly Goals:

March
- Learn the most popular chords, notes, and chord progressions
- Be able to switch to them without thinking much or looking down at my fingers
- Learn a couple basic strumming patterns

April
- Feel confident and comfortable with the basics
- Start to put together chords and strumming patterns and start learning a song or two

May
- Practice a few songs over and over again till I get to a point where I can do them fluently without major screw ups

June
- Begin singing along while I play

- Start adding complete songs to my repertoire 

Weekly Goals:

March 10th: Learn a basic strumming pattern, try to work it in with a basic chord progression
March 17th: Learn some more complex strumming patterns and continue to work on them with basic chord progressions

April 7th: Continue to practice strumming patterns and chord progressions
April 14th: Continue to learn new strumming patterns and getting the hang of them. 
April 21st: Learn a basic strumming pattern for How He Loves and practice it.
April 28th: Learn the chords and strumming pattern to Give Me Faith and practice it
May 5th: Learn the more complex strumming pattern for How He Loves. Practice, practice, practice. 
May 12th:
 Practice, practice, practice
May 19th: Learn the chords to Dust On the Bottle with my new capo
May 26th: Blog
June 2nd: Learn the chords to Teardrops On My Guitar
June 9th: Presentation Week!
